Our Goals
To protect and
advance the political and economic interests of the small coconut
farmers in the country.
To organize strong
provincial small coconut farmers and farmworkers organizations in major
coconut producing provinces of the country and unite them into the
federation.
To spearhead the
campaigns for the recovery of the infamous coconut levy funds and assets
and be a major stakeholder in this struggle.
To vigorously wage
the campaign for the eradication of share tenancy and completion of
agrarian reform in coconut lands.
To initiate in the
formation of a broad unity among different coconut farmers'
organizations in the struggle for agrarian reform and coconut levy
recovery. Coordinate with other initiatives in pushing different issues
surrounding the coconut-farming sector.
To build linkages
and network in the country and international farmer organizations, NGO
and other networks in support of the struggle and aspiration of the
small coconut farmers and farmworkers.
To undertake
leadership formations and capability building programs at all levels, in
preparing the farmer-leaders in facing the complex issues of the
sector.
To wage vigorous
education campaign, in order to build a critical mass of small coconut
farmers and farmworkers.
To contribute to the
upliftment of the lives of its members through various services
including but not limited to education and information dissemination,
training and development of chapter organizations and cooperatives,
conducting researches, and providing representation to proper government
agencies in relation to the aforementioned objectives.
To initiate
socio-economic projects that will utilize the diversity of coconut and
optimize the production capacity of coconut lands.
